About Kimi

With more than 30 years of experience as a physical therapist, Kimi Hasegawa brings a unique blend of clinical expertise and whole-body movement education to her work. She has studied Core Movement Integration (CMI) since 2001 and is certified by the National Certification Board of Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork (NCBTMB) to train bodyworkers in CMI. She currently serves as the Lead Teacher in CMITI’s 2025 Core Movement Integration Practitioner Training Program.

Kimi’s Approach

In both individual sessions and group classes, Kimi uses CMI as her primary lens for assessing movement, identifying restrictions, and choosing the most effective Pathways and positions for treatment. Her integrative approach combines:

  • CMI’s six whole-body Movement Pathways
  • myofascial release
  • positional release techniques
  • joint mobilization
  • movement education for daily life and functional activities

Kimi teaches clients how to use CMI’s full-body movement patterns in everything they do—sitting, standing, walking, reaching, lifting, daily tasks, and recreational activities. This helps reduce pain, improve mobility, and restore natural, efficient movement.

Work With Kimi

Kimi’s practice supports those seeking:

  • pain reduction
  • improved posture and balance
  • better functional movement
  • whole-body integration
  • somatic learning and increased body awareness.

Her teaching style blends professional precision with an accessible, supportive approach for people of all ages and movement backgrounds.
